Job Description:

The Supplier Quality Engineer plays a crucial role in ensuring a constant supply of quality parts to production by continuously improving supplier performance. This involves conducting supplier quality assessments, providing quality audit reports and recommendations, and coordinating PPAP level requirements and compliance to the PPAP process.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Advance quality product planning: Conduct supplier quality assessments, provide quality audit reports/recommendations, ensure proper quality requirements are identified on drawings, involve suppliers in product development through quality design reviews, coordinate PPAP level requirements and compliance to PPAP process, establish and track PPM goals for each supplier.
  • Problem resolution: Support Operations in solving supplier quality issues, identify supplier quality problems through line issues, incoming inspection rejects, and/or supplier audits, collect samples and data of defects, initiate corrective action requests through the CAR process, follow up and close CAR in a timely manner, propose quality improvement plans for all key suppliers and commodities, attend MRB daily, support resolution of any warranty claims.
  • Maintain good and stable supplier relationships: Conduct day-to-day follow-up on supplier quality production issues, maintain good communication with suppliers and internal BRP customers/peers.
  • Perform any other tasks required by your functions: Adhere to all policies, procedures, and code of ethics, actively participate in supplier selection, perform any other tasks delegated by your manager, follow BRP values and behaviors, ensure a safe working environment, and take full accountability for all safety-related topics.

Your Qualifications and Skills:

  • Achieve defined goals, such as storage time (quarantine, collective scrap, storage location), missing or overdue 8D-reports, line downtime by our suppliers, PSP & I Doos, audit status, and PPM.
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Min. 2 years in related experience in a supplier quality engineer role, project management role, or related supplier quality function.
  • Fluent in Spanish written and verbal, English written and verbal (Min: 80%), and knowledge of French or German is an advantage.

Estimated Salary Range: $65,000 - $90,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
