Job Description

We are seeking a highly organized and efficient Administrative Support Specialist to join our team at Greenglade Day Nursery and Forest School. The ideal candidate will provide administrative support and ensure efficient office operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the running of all Nursery administration and Human Resources administration under the leadership of our Finance Manager.
  • Update our HR database, including organizing staff appraisals, supervisions, and training.
  • Enter data as required, such as inputting weekly staff shifts onto electronic systems and child details.
  • Perform general clerical duties, including photocopying, scanning, and filing.
  • Answer and direct phone calls with excellent phone etiquette.
  • Manage office supplies and place orders when necessary.
Person Specification
  • Displays a mature attitude and ability to work well as part of a team.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including in person, in writing, or electronically.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • A commitment to providing a responsive and supportive service and a willingness to constantly seek and improve the service provided by the Nursery.
  • Excellent ICT skills, including a good working knowledge of Microsoft 365.
  • Understanding the need to maintain an exceptionally high level of confidentiality and discretion at all times.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Understanding of good management practices and the policies, procedures, and systems to support these.
  • Highly organized and able to prioritize tasks and follow through to completion.
  • Evidence of the ability to communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in writing.
  • Evidence of an understanding and commitment to Equal Opportunities in service delivery and employment.
  • Must be able to demonstrate a high degree of punctuality and flexibility.

Requirements
  • Administrative experience: 5 years (required)
  • GCSE or equivalent (preferred)
  • English (preferred)
Work Environment

Monday to Friday, 25 hours per week.
