Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Engineering Outreach Manager to provide strategic guidance and program development for our engineering outreach programs.

Nature of Work: Reporting to the Associate Dean, Experiential Learning and Engineering Outreach, the successful candidate will oversee the day-to-day operations of all engineering outreach programs, develop fund proposals, and provide leadership and support for effective donor relations and stewardship activities.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the development and delivery of engineering outreach programs for elementary and secondary school students and teachers.
  • Develop and manage budgets for outreach activities, including tracking special accounts and procurement of capital needs.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders on reporting requirements and represent the Engineering Outreach unit in outreach partnership committees and memberships.
  • Lead and support special projects related to engineering outreach and the Faculty of Engineering and Applied Science.
  • Develop and maintain a clear communication plan and materials to promote outreach programs and activities.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum of three to five years of experience in engineering outreach and/or management, including experience in fundraising, grant writing, and personnel supervision.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to interact at all levels within the organization and manage strategic goals.
