Position Overview:
The Roberts/Smart Centre (RSC) is seeking dedicated and skilled Youth Support Specialists to provide essential services to our community.

Role Responsibilities:
- Conduct telephone, text, and on-site crisis evaluations, offering de-escalation, intervention, and support to youth affected by human trafficking.
- Collaborate with the Treatment Team to create and execute individualized Treatment Plans using the Trafficking Stages of Change Model.
- Engage in counseling services aligned with treatment objectives and the Collaborative Problem Solving (CPS) model.
- Attend community appointments and facilitate referrals as necessary.
- Deliver comprehensive support and treatment, including tailored mental health services, safety planning, harm reduction strategies, and education for families and caregivers.
- Foster positive public relations and build healthy partnerships within the community.

Qualifications:
- Proven experience working with youth impacted by human trafficking and various crises, including loss, violence, and trauma.
- Demonstrated capability to manage a 24/7 crisis hotline and provide essential services.
- Strong skills in crisis assessment, intervention techniques, and counseling support.
- Cultural competence to engage with diverse populations, including Indigenous communities.
- Professional communication skills with community organizations.
- Certification in Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST) is preferred.
- Training in crisis intervention and prevention is an asset.

Requirements:
- Vulnerable Sector Check, Child Welfare Check, and current medical clearance (including immunizations) to work with high-risk youth.
- A valid driver's license and clean driving record are mandatory.
- Bilingualism in French and English is advantageous, though unilingual candidates may be considered if the French requirement is met.

Work Conditions:
- Flexible working hours are essential for this role.
- This position is designated for female candidates only.

Job Type:
- Fixed-term contract with a competitive hourly rate and overtime pay.
