Job Summary

The Government of Northwest Territories is seeking a highly skilled Community Dietitian, North to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in promoting healthy communities and well-being through excellence, accountability, and respect for regional diversity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement nutrition programs based on identified needs and priority setting, working collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams and community members.
  • Provide education and counseling to clients of all ages and their families on appropriate diet, nutrition, and self-management methods.
  • Conduct assessments and provide recommendations for enteral nutrition services.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare teams using a variety of methods.
  • Facilitate group sessions and provide individual counseling to promote healthy eating habits and nutrition knowledge.
  • Work independently and as a member of a team to achieve program goals and objectives.
Requirements
  • Baccalaureate Degree in Nutrition and completion of an accredited Dietetic Internship program.
  • One (1) year of recent experience in acute/ambulatory care.
  • Master's degree in Nutrition may be considered on a case-by-case basis.
  • Eligible for current registration/certification with a provincially regulated association of Registered Dietitians.
  • Valid Class 5 Driver's License.
What We Offer
  • Competitive salary range: $49.12 per hour to $58.68 per hour (approximately $95,784. - $114,426.) plus an annual Northern Allowance of $14,661.
