Job Summary

This position is located in the Inuvik Regional Hospital, serving the town of Inuvik and surrounding communities. The successful candidate will play a key role in primary care and health promotion for the Northwest Territories Health and Social Services Authority.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement nutrition programs based on identified needs and priority setting.
  • Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to deliver nutrition and nutrition-related services.
  • Provide education and counseling to clients of all ages and their families on appropriate diet and nutrition.
  • Conduct assessments and develop plans to address nutrition-related issues.
  • Collaborate with community members and stakeholders to promote healthy eating habits and nutrition education.
Requirements
  • Baccalaureate degree in Nutrition and completion of an accredited Dietetic Internship program.
  • One year of recent experience in acute/ambulatory care.
  • Master's degree in Nutrition may be considered on a case-by-case basis.
  • Eligible for current registration/certification with a provincially regulated association of Registered Dietitians.
  • Valid Class 5 Driver's License.
What We Offer

The Government of Northwest Territories offers a competitive salary range of $49.12 per hour to $58.68 per hour, plus an annual Northern Allowance of $14,661.
