Job Title: Industrial Millwright

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Industrial Millwright to join our team at the Thunder Bay Sawmill. As a Millwright, you will be responsible for applying health and safety procedures, collaborating with production and maintenance personnel, and utilizing computerized maintenance management systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Apply health and safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment
  • Collaborate with production and maintenance personnel to achieve daily operation goals
  • Utilize computerized maintenance management systems to process work orders and update equipment databases
  • Perform preventive maintenance and modify equipment as needed
  • Improve and optimize control systems
  • Respond to production calls during downtime
  • Communicate updates to supervisors to maintain goals

Requirements:

  • Industrial or Construction Mechanic/Millwright certification
  • 3 to 5 years' experience in a related industrial environment
  • Uncompromising approach to safety
  • Recognized relational skills and a willingness to work in a team
  • Availability for 12-hour operational shift schedules

What We Offer:

  • A base salary of $39.71 per hour
  • Alternate Shift Schedule (4on x 3off; 42 hour average work schedule)
  • Shift Premium of $.65 per hour
  • Retention Payment of $0.50 per regular hour worked
  • Annual Tool allowance $600
