About the Role

CIBC is seeking a highly skilled Investment Specialist to join our team in Personal and Business Banking. As an Investment Specialist, you will work closely with other CIBC Banking Centre employees to build lasting connections with existing clients and provide expert investment planning advice to help them achieve their financial goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Client Engagement: Focus on delivering exceptional client experiences and build meaningful relationships with clients to understand their financial needs and goals.
  • Business Development: Develop and execute sales plans to convert leads into deeper relationships with CIBC clients, leveraging your strong relationship-building and networking skills to drive business growth.
  • Community Involvement: Enhance CIBC brand awareness in your community by initiating local marketing and outreach activities, establishing local contacts, and partnering with community organizations to make a positive impact.
Requirements
  • Client Focus: You have a passion for delivering exceptional client experiences and building long-term relationships.
  • Business Acumen: You have a strong understanding of the financial services industry and the ability to develop and execute business plans to drive growth.
  • Communication Skills: You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with clients, colleagues, and community partners.
  • Professional Certifications: You hold current accreditation and good standing in the Mutual Funds License (Canadian Securities Course or Investment Funds In Canada) and are required to complete the Personal Financial Planner (PFP) or Registered Retirement Consultant (RRC) certification within the first year of employment.
