We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Management Leader to oversee all plant units responsible for maintaining equipment, buildings, and facilities.

This role will provide technical expertise regarding maintenance, electrical, mechanical, and millwright work. The successful candidate will develop and implement short-term and mid-term business plans for the department and contribute to strategic planning related to maintenance.

The key responsibilities of this position include:

  • Planning, managing, and directing the efforts of maintenance teams, as well as providing support to these teams.
  • Developing, implementing, and communicating short-term and mid-term business plans for operations.
  • Managing maintenance requests and work orders.
  • Ensuring that maintenance requests are accurately entered into the EAM system.
  • Reviewing maintenance requests for accuracy and determining if repairs or modifications can improve processes.
  • Planning parts and labor, scheduling work, and reviewing criticality of parts.
  • Performing root cause analysis on breakdown events, reviewing and adjusting stocking levels.
  • Identifying skills improvement opportunities for team members and reviewing the quality and accuracy of completed work.
  • Determining how work can be completed more efficiently and creating standard practices.
  • Creating follow-up work orders as required.
  • Participating in selection, recognition, disciplining, and evaluation of department staff.
  • Supervising maintenance activities, tracking individual and team performance.
  • Communicating performance standards to associates, recognizing and rewarding individual and team accomplishments, and counseling performance problems.
  • Ensuring that associates have necessary resources and capabilities to effectively accomplish their responsibilities.
  • Creating requisitions for vendor services from work orders.
  • Learning and improving knowledge of ERP and EAM systems.
  • Staying up-to-date with maintenance theories and implementing new techniques.
  • Overseeing the scheduling of preventative maintenance checks and inspections while ensuring no disruptions to the production schedule.
  • Developing, maintaining, and reporting required operational information to management.
  • Serving as the main contact and responsible for coordination of contractor activities, monitoring and verifying contracted work, and ensuring contractor compliance with company policies.

Physical Requirements

  • Maintaining physical stamina to perform tasks such as lifting up to 50 pounds, walking, standing, climbing, reaching, stooping, pulling, pushing, grasping, and balancing during production activities on the floor.
  • Having sufficient vision and hearing to understand associate questions and respond to their concerns.
  • Working in a hot environment, near noisy machinery, and in confined spaces.

Requirements

We are looking for an experienced professional with the following qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 to 10 years of maintenance management experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and application of preventative maintenance techniques/scheduling and safety management.
  • Working knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
  • Demonstrated ability to direct, coach, and train hourly associates and contractors, plan, monitor, and schedule work.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.
  • Demonstrated mechanical and spatial aptitude, including the ability to disassemble and reassemble equipment.

Salary: $85,000 - $110,000 per year
