Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly qualified Sessional Lecturer to teach a course on Leadership & Management for Planners at the University of Toronto. The successful candidate will have a strong background in urban and regional planning, public administration, or a related field, and will be able to provide effective instruction and guidance to students.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and deliver course materials, including lectures, readings, and assignments
- Develop and administer grading, course assignments, tests, and exams
- Hold regular office hours and provide support to students
- Submit all final grades
Requirements:
- Post-graduate degree in Urban and Regional Planning or Public Administration
- Strong familiarity with city planning and management theory and current practice in Ontario and Canada
- University teaching experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Expertise in city planning and city administration
- Experience in a senior management position in both private and public settings
- Familiarity with the practical aspects of implementing land use, environmental, and other planning policy
