Job Summary:
We are seeking a qualified Sessional Lecturer to teach a course on Canadian Poetry in the Department of English at the University of Toronto Scarborough. The successful candidate will have a strong academic record and professional promise, with ongoing research and publication in the field of English literature.
Responsibilities:
- Teach a course on Canadian Poetry, including preparation and delivery of course content, development, administration, and marking of assignments, calculation and submission of grades, and holding regular office hours.
- Develop and implement a course syllabus that aligns with the department's curriculum goals.
- Assess student learning and provide feedback to students.
Qualifications:
- Ph.D. in English or a related field.
- Strong academic record and professional promise.
- Ongoing research and publication in the field of English literature.
- Experience teaching, especially experience teaching Canadian literature at the university level.
