Sessional Lecturer Position in Buddhist Studies

We are seeking a highly qualified Sessional Lecturer to teach a course on Mindfulness-Informed Interventions for Mental Health in the Buddhism, Psychology & Mental Health Program at the University of Toronto.
Course Description:This course explores the intersection of Buddhism and psychology, focusing on mindfulness-based approaches in biomedical mental health interventions. Students will examine the historical, societal, and cultural contexts of mindfulness, as well as its applications in diverse settings.
Responsibilities:- Design and deliver course content, including lectures, assignments, and exams
- Develop and administer course materials, including syllabi and reading lists
- Hold regular office hours for student consultation and support
- Completed or nearly completed Ph.D. in an area related to Buddhist Studies, Mindfulness, and/or the intersections between Buddhism and Psychology
- Teaching experience at the university level
