At Intact, we're seeking a highly skilled Actuarial Consultant to join our Group Corporate Actuarial team. As a key member of our team, you'll provide actuarial reserving assurance services, consolidate regional reserving results, and support financial reporting. You'll work closely with internal and external stakeholders, requiring strong communication and analytical skills.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing actuarial reserving assurance services to the Group Chief Actuary and Risk Officer, IFC Audit Committee, Regional Chief Actuaries, and Regional Audit Committees.
  • Consolidating regional reserving results and reporting into the IFC Group consolidated basis, supporting the reporting and communication of these results to the IFC actuarial and business management teams.
  • Contributing expertise to ad-hoc reviews or investigations of an actuarial nature, as necessary.
  • Effectively communicating and accurately reporting actuarial analyses and recommendations.
  • Executing actuarial processes and analysis to achieve and continuously comply with all relevant professional standards, regulatory standards, and IFC policies and principles.

Requirements include:

  • University degree in Mathematics, Actuarial, Finance, or Economics.
  • Certification in Mathematics, Actuarial, Finance, or Economics; ACAS or FCAS is an asset.
  • 3 years or more of P&C actuarial experience.
  • Computer literacy in Microsoft Office Suite, with knowledge of ResQ and PowerBi, R, Python, VBA, SAS, and/or SQL as assets.
  • Strong analytical, communication, planning, and execution skills.
  • Desirable competencies: adaptability, innovative, analytical, decision-making, critical thinking, stellar communication, planning, and organizing, team-oriented.
  • For candidates located in Quebec, bilingualism is required considering the necessity to interact on a regular basis with English-speaking colleagues across the country.
