Job Opportunity: Secondary Principal

The Halton District School Board is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Secondary Principal to join our team. As a leader in education, you will be responsible for creating a positive and inclusive learning environment that fosters academic excellence and student success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of educators to achieve academic goals and improve student outcomes
  • Develop and implement effective instructional strategies to support student learning
  • Collaborate with teachers, staff, and parents to create a positive and inclusive school culture
  • Manage school resources and budgets to ensure efficient use of resources
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and the community to build relationships and promote school spirit

Requirements:

  • Principal Qualifications Part 1 and registration in Principal Qualifications Part 2
  • Good standing with the Ontario College of Teachers
  • Successful experience demonstrating proven leadership effectiveness in the school community
  • Good standing with respect to conduct
  • Demonstrated experience with Special Education policies and procedures
  • Evidence of core capacities identified in the Ontario Leadership Framework
