About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Level 3 Maintenance Specialist to join our dynamic maintenance team at Linamar Corporation. As a key member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our facility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and supervise a small maintenance team, providing guidance, support, and training to ensure their success.
  • Coordinate and prioritize maintenance tasks, ensuring they are completed efficiently and on time.
  • Perform hands-on maintenance work, including repairs, installations, and troubleshooting, utilizing your expertise in electrical, plumbing, HVAC, or general building maintenance.
  • Implement and enforce safety protocols to create a safe working environment for the team and eliminate hazards and/or risks.
  • Take a collaborative approach with other departments to ensure maintenance needs are met, fostering a culture of teamwork and cooperation.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, equipment maintenance logs, and inventory.
  • Establish and maintain maintenance standards and develop and recommend maintenance programs.
  • Install new equipment using outside services if required.
  • Maintain the equipment and facility through preventive/predictive maintenance program.
  • Consult the work orders and personal logbook for jobs to be done.
  • Keep equipment and facility in working condition for maximum uptime.
Requirements
  • A Technical / High School diploma or equivalent trade certification.
  • Fully skilled in one or more trades (level 3 Maintenance or electrician preferred).
  • Five (5) or more years of proven experience in a maintenance role.
  • Basic welding skills.
  • Knowledgeable in different controls (. Fanuc, Siemens).
  • Advanced knowledge in troubleshooting servo motors, drivers, encoders etc.
  • Able to read and understand all codes and regulations.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures.
  • Automotive manufacturing experience is an asset.

  • Previous experience in a leadership or supervisory role is preferred.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with team members and other departments.
  • Ability to work independently and make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to move heavy objects and perform manual labor as required.
  • Able to perform tasks independently under general direction.
  • Ability to supervise and train apprentices and maintenance laborer.
  • Ability to work all rotating shifts.
  • Ability to work overtime as required.
