Job Title: Relief Pharmacist

We are seeking a skilled Relief Pharmacist to join our team at Safeway. As a Relief Pharmacist, you will provide pharmacy services and support to customers, medical practitioners, and other retail pharmacies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide clinical services, including disease state management, medication reviews, and health risk assessments.
  • Prescription safety prioritization and technical functions delegation to Pharmacy Assistants when available.
  • Initiate care plans, follow up, and document patient information.
  • Coach pharmacy students and Pharmacy Assistants (if applicable).
  • Collect relevant patient, drug, and disease information.
  • Identification of actual and potential drug-related problems.
  • Monitor medication adherence.
  • Provide patient counseling for new therapy and determine patients' understanding of medication.
  • Tailor counseling to patients' needs and concerns.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from a recognized institution.
  • Licensed Pharmacist in the province of responsibility.
  • Injection Certification.
  • Previous experience in a retail and/or retail pharmacy setting preferred.

Work Environment:

As a Relief Pharmacist, you will work in a variety of settings, including retail pharmacies and on-the-road locations. You will be required to work independently and as part of a team to meet the needs of customers and patients.

Language Requirements:

French is not required for this position.

Schedule:

8-hour shifts, Monday to Friday, with occasional weekends as needed.
