About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Relief Pharmacist to join our team at Safeway. As a Relief Pharmacist, you will provide pharmacy services and support to customers, medical practitioners, and other retail pharmacies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical services, including disease state management, medication reviews, and health risk assessments
  • Prescription safety and prioritization of technical functions to Pharmacy Assistants when available
  • Initiate care plans, follow up, and document patient information
  • Coach pharmacy students and Pharmacy Assistants (if applicable)
  • Collect relevant patient, drug, and disease information
  • Identification of actual and potential drug-related problems
  • Monitor medication adherence and provide patient counseling for new therapy
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from a recognized institution
  • Licensed Pharmacist in the province of responsibility
  • Injection Certification
  • Previous experience in a retail and/or retail pharmacy setting preferred
