Payroll and Benefits Expert

We are seeking a skilled Payroll and Benefits Administrator to join our team in Alberta. This role is integral to managing payroll and benefits administration across multiple provinces.
About the Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for independently managing full-cycle, multi-provincial payroll on a weekly basis, ensuring accurate payroll processing for all employee types, including salaried and hourly staff. This includes overseeing day-to-day payroll transactions and benefits administration, managing the benefits management portal, and maintaining accurate records for employee enrollments and off-boarding.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage full-cycle payroll for multiple provinces, ensuring accuracy and compliance with provincial regulations.
- Oversee payroll entries in the general ledger (GL), manage remittances, deductions, and payroll filings.
- Verify timesheets and collaborate with branch managers to address and resolve discrepancies.
- Assist with month-end and year-end payroll tasks, including reconciling payroll reports and processing T4s, T4As, and other essential documentation.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you will need strong attention to detail, experience managing payroll independently across multiple provinces, and adaptability in handling payroll and benefits-related issues. Experience with Ceridian Dayforce is considered an asset, and previous experience within the construction industry is preferred. You will also need excellent communication skills to work effectively with employees and managers.
What We Offer
We offer a competitive salary of approximately $65,000 - $85,000 per annum, depending on experience, as well as opportunities for growth and development in a dynamic work environment.
