Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Practical Nurse to join our Mental Health Program. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform mental health and risk assessments to identify patient needs and develop effective care plans.
  • Provide one-to-one supportive therapy and medical care to patients, utilizing evidence-based practices and nursing competencies.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including emergency department staff, inpatient programs, and community agencies, to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and healthcare providers to promote patient-centered care.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest nursing practices, policies, and procedures to ensure high-quality patient care.
Requirements
  • Current registration in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
  • Current BCLS Certification required at time of hire.
  • Minimum of 3 years recent experience in emergency, crisis, and mental health required.
  • Advanced skill in the assessment and management of acute mental health and concurrent disorders conditions.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, rapidly changing environment.
