AWS Cloud Engineer

Bombardier Transportation GmbH is seeking a highly skilled AWS Cloud Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining our cloud infrastructure and applications.
Key Responsibilities- Cloud Infrastructure Management: Focus on day-to-day tasks related to managing and maintaining the cloud infrastructure and applications.
- Cloud Deployment: Deploy scalable, highly available, and fault-tolerant systems on cloud platforms.
- Cloud Security: Implement and manage cloud infrastructure, including provisioning of compute, storage, network, and security.
- Cloud Automation: Automate cloud infrastructure provisioning and management tasks using tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with development teams to design and deploy cloud-native applications and services.
- Cloud Monitoring: Analyze cloud systems to ensure they meet performance, security, and compliance requirements.
- Incident Response: Monitor cloud systems for performance, availability, and security issues and respond to incidents or alerts.
- Cost Optimization: Monitor budgeted cloud costs and work with value stream services for cost optimization proposals.
- Disaster Recovery: Implement and manage cloud-based backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions.
- Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to cloud infrastructure, applications, and services.
- Documentation: Assist in the development and maintenance of cloud infrastructure documentation, including architecture diagrams, runbooks, and standard operating procedures.
- Education: Hold a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
- Experience: Have 5+ years of professional experience in an IT role.
- Certification: Hold certification(s) in AWS cloud solution foundations.
- Cloud Experience: Have experience with cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Cloud Infrastructure: Have experience with cloud infrastructure and services, including compute, storage, network, and security.
- Cloud-Native Development: Have experience with cloud-native application development, including the use of microservices and containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Cloud Security: Have a functional familiarity with cloud-based security concepts, such as identity and access management (IAM), encryption, and network security.
- Infrastructure Management: Have a functional familiarity with infrastructure management, identity management, virtualization, and hosted services.
- Automation Tools: Have a functional understanding of cloud-based automation and management tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation.
- Monitoring and Logging: Be familiar with monitoring and logging tools for cloud-based systems.
- Communication Skills: Have strong communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Language Skills: Be proficient in English and French both verbally and written.
