About the Role

As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing cloud-based solutions that meet the needs of our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop cloud-based architectures that are secure, scalable, and cost-effective.
  • Evaluate and recommend cloud technologies and services to support the needs of the organization.
  • Develop cloud-based roadmaps that align with the overall business strategy and goals.
  • Define and enforce cloud-based security policies and procedures to protect the organization's assets and data.
  • Collaborate with vendor partners, other IT teams, and stakeholders to ensure that the cloud infrastructure meets their needs and requirements.
  • Develop and maintain cloud infrastructure documentation, including architecture diagrams, runbooks, and standard operating procedures.
  • Identify and troubleshoot issues with cloud-based systems and services, and work with other teams to resolve them.
  • Ensure all solutions exhibit high levels of performance, security, scalability, maintainability, and appropriate reusability and reliability upon deployment.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging cloud technologies and trends, and recommend improvements to the cloud infrastructure as needed.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to other IT team members, including cloud engineers and administrators.
  • Collaborate with other Solution Architects in developing complex end-to-end Enterprise solutions.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineer, or related field.
  • 10+ years of professional experience in an IT role.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in designing and implementing cloud-based architectures, including cloud storage, networking, security, and compute on AWS platform. Experience with multi-cloud platforms integration preferred.
  • Certification(s) in cloud solution architectures.
  • Practical knowledge of infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools, such as Terraform or CloudFormation, and configuration management tools, such as Chef or Ansible.
  • Functional understanding of cloud-based automation and orchestration tools, such as Jenkins or Kubernetes.
  • Experience with agile and DevOps methodologies and tools.
  • Experience in optimizing costs for cloud infrastructure.
  • Experience with cloud-based security concepts, such as identity and access management (IAM), encryption, and network security.
  • Experience of various cloud migration of enterprise systems.
  • Functional knowledge of infrastructure management, identity management, virtualization, and hosted services.
  • Experience in industries relating to industrial product design, manufacturing, and aftermarket services would be an asset.
  • Experience in developing integrated solutions for Salesforce, SAP, O365, and PLM environment would be an asset.
  • Leadership and presentation skills with a high degree of comfort with both large and small audiences.
  • Proficient in English and French both verbally and written.
