About the Role

Bombardier Transportation GmbH is seeking a highly skilled Cloud Engineer and Architect to join our team. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining our cloud infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Cloud Infrastructure Management: Manage and maintain our cloud infrastructure, including provisioning of compute, storage, network, and security.
  2. Cloud-Native Application Development: Collaborate with development teams to design and deploy cloud-native applications and services.
  3. Cloud Security and Compliance: Ensure that our cloud systems meet performance, security, and compliance requirements.
  4. Cloud Cost Optimization: Monitor budgeted cloud costs and work with value stream services for cost optimization proposals.
  5. Cloud Backup and Disaster Recovery: Implement and manage cloud-based backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions.
  6. Troubleshooting and Support: Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to cloud infrastructure, applications, and services.
Requirements
  1. Education: Hold a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
  2. Experience: Have 5+ years of professional experience in an IT role, with a focus on cloud infrastructure and services.
  3. Certifications: Hold certification(s) in AWS cloud solution foundations.
  4. Skills: Have experience with cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP), as well as cloud-native application development, microservices, and containerization technologies.
  5. Language: Be proficient in English and French, both verbally and written.
