About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Mental Health Support Worker to join our team on a part-time basis at Sault Area Hospital.

Job Description

The successful candidate will assist nursing staff in maintaining unit safety and security by helping manage aggressive patients. This involves controlling aggressive behavior as directed, reporting any notable changes in patient behavior, and participating in Code Alerts and safety searches.

This role requires excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, as well as the ability to work effectively under pressure and use good judgment in challenging situations.

Requirements
  • Degree or Diploma in Social Services from an accredited college
  • Current NCI certification
  • Current CPR and First Aid certification
