We are seeking a reliable and compassionate Personal Support Worker to join our team at Private household. As a Personal Support Worker, you will provide high-quality care and assistance to adults and seniors in their own homes. Your duties will include administering medications, assisting with bathing and personal hygiene, and providing companionship and support with daily activities.

Work Site Environment

Our work site is a non-smoking environment, and you will be working in the employer's/client's home.

Work Setting

You will be working in a home setting, providing one-on-one care and support to our clients.

Tasks
  • Administer medications and assist with personal care
  • Assist with bathing and other aspects of personal hygiene
  • Provide companionship and support with daily activities
  • Prepare and serve nutritious meals
  • Cook and assist with light housekeeping and cleaning duties
Certificates, Licenses, Memberships, and Courses

You will require a First Aid Certificate and previous experience in a similar role.

Target Audience

We are seeking a candidate who is comfortable working with adults and seniors, and who has experience working with individuals with physical disabilities.

Area of Work Experience

This role is within the health sector, and you will be working in a home care setting.

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities

You will be required to perform tasks that involve bending, crouching, kneeling, and repetitive tasks, and you will need to be able to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs).

Personal Suitability

We are looking for a candidate who is punctual, dependable, and has efficient interpersonal skills. You will need to be organized, reliable, and patient, and you will need to be able to work independently and as part of a team.

We will be asking screening questions to ensure that you are a good fit for this role, including questions about your experience working with adults and seniors, and your ability to work in a home care setting.
