Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on mill machinery, including pumps, conveyors, compressors, mechanical systems, rollers, and chains.
  • Inspect equipment to detect and investigate irregularities and malfunctions.
  • Manage time effectively by assessing situations and determining when to assemble, move, replace, or dismantle machinery.
  • Troubleshoot issues, boost equipment reliability, and implement safe, reliable fixes to keep the mill running.
  • Identify and request relevant parts to complete repairs in a timely manner.
  • Assist in maintaining a safe work environment for coworkers, customers, and visitors on site.

Requirements:

  • Red Seal Certification (considered an asset but not required)
  • Physical capability to lift objects weighing up to 50lbs
  • High degree of urgency
  • Excellent teamwork skills and ability to collaborate effectively with coworkers
  • Knowledge of lumber or industrial manufacturing process (an asset) and experience with welding procedures and equipment reliability
