About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Administrative Officer to join our team at Stu-view Overseas Service Calgary. As an Administrative Officer, you will play a key role in supporting the smooth operation of our office.

Key Responsibilities
  • Policy and Procedure Development
    • Review and evaluate new administrative procedures to ensure they align with our organizational goals and objectives.
    • Develop and implement policies and procedures related to the release of records in processing requests under government access to information and privacy legislation.
  • Records Management
    • Administer policies and procedures related to the management of records, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and regulations.
  • Office Operations
    • Assist in the preparation of operating budgets and maintain inventory and budgetary controls.
    • Oversee and co-ordinate office administrative procedures, ensuring efficient and effective use of resources.
  • Supervision
    • Supervise a team of 3-4 people, providing guidance and support to ensure the successful completion of tasks and projects.
  • Computer and Technology
    • Utilize MS Office software to perform administrative tasks and maintain accurate records.
  • Security and Safety
    • Ensure compliance with security and safety protocols, including criminal record checks.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities
    • Work in a fast-paced environment, requiring attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
    • Work a regular 30-hour week, with flexibility to adapt to changing priorities.
Requirements
  • College/CEGEP education or equivalent experience.
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in an administrative role.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and provide guidance and support to colleagues.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in MS Office software.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
