We are seeking a skilled Metal Products Manufacturing Operator to join our team at Altech Aluminum (2004) ltd. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for operating metal cleaning equipment to remove excess welds, rust, scale, and other materials from metal products.

Additionally, you will transport raw materials, finished products, and equipment throughout the plant manually, and assist structural steel and platework fitters, sheet metal workers, metal machine operators, or other metal workers as needed.

The ideal candidate will have experience in metal fabrication and be able to work independently with minimal supervision. If you are a motivated and detail-oriented individual who is passionate about metalwork, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate metal cleaning equipment to remove excess welds, rust, scale, and other materials from metal products
  • Transport raw materials, finished products, and equipment throughout the plant manually
  • Assist structural steel and platework fitters, sheet metal workers, metal machine operators, or other metal workers as needed
  • Sort metal sheets and parts, scrap metal, and other materials
  • Grind or chip excess metal from metal products using hand tools
  • Clean machines and immediate work areas
  • Read and interpret work orders

Requirements:

  • Experience in metal fabrication an asset
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
  • Physical ability to lift and move heavy materials

Working Conditions:

  • Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week
