Speech Language Pathologist

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our team at the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority. As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will be responsible for providing quality speech and language services to patients, consistent with professional standards and best practices.
Key Responsibilities- Provide assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of communication and swallowing disorders
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to meet the unique needs of patients
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care
- Conduct research and participate in quality improvement initiatives to advance the field of speech-language pathology
- Supervise and mentor students and new graduates
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited university
- Registration with the College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists of Manitoba (CASLPM)
- Membership in professional organizations such as Speech-Language and Audiology Canada (SAC) and the American Speech and Hearing Association (ASHA)
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) training
- Experience working with diverse patient populations, including Indigenous communities
- Knowledge of Indigenous customs, traditions, and values
- May be required to work extended hours
- May be exposed to infectious diseases, blood and body fluids, radiation, toxic materials, noise, allergens, physical and emotional stress, etc.
