Job Summary

The Health Sciences Centre is seeking a highly skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our team. As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will be responsible for providing top-quality Speech-Language Pathology services in line with professional standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and treat patients with communication and swallowing disorders.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to meet the unique needs of each patient.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest research and best practices in Speech-Language Pathology.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited university.
  • Registration with the Canadian Association of Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists (CASLPA).
  • Membership in professional organizations such as the Speech-Language & Audiology Canada (SAC) and the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) training.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience working with diverse populations.
  • Competence in an Indigenous language and knowledge of Indigenous customs.

Working Conditions

  • Extended working hours may be required.
  • Exposure to various conditions and interactions with aggressive/agitated individuals may occur.
