Job Summary

This position plays a critical role in maintaining the highest standards of patient care by ensuring the decontamination, sterilization, and distribution of medical and surgical supplies and instruments are performed with precision and accuracy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform detailed technical duties related to the decontamination, sterilization, reassembly, and function testing of medical and surgical supplies and instruments.
  • Operate related equipment and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure seamless distribution of medical supplies and instruments.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports related to equipment maintenance and supply distribution.
Requirements
  • Grade 12 and successful completion of a recognized Sterile Supply Processing course.
  • One year's recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Knowledge of surgical and medical terminology.
  • Mathematical aptitude.
  • Ability to communicate and deal effectively with others.
  • Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
