Prospera Credit Union is seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Member Experience Specialist. In this role, you will play a vital part in developing strong relationships with our members, understanding their financial needs, and providing tailored solutions to meet their goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Onboard new members and initiate relationship conversations to understand their financial needs and goals.
  • Develop and advance member relationships through regular check-ins, financial health checks, and effective referrals to our Relationship Managers and Line of Business Specialists.
  • Manage primary advice center responsibilities for opening new business accounts and business change of signing officer requests.
  • Support members in accessing lending products by producing small unsecured lending products, completing broker mortgage sign-ups, and mortgage renewals.
  • Provide omni-channel support for our Member Service Centre by assisting with member calls and transactions as needed.

What We're Looking For:

  • Grade 12 (or equivalent) with a Business Administration or Marketing diploma or degree (an asset).
  • 1-3 years of experience working in a financial services environment with exposure to lending and investment products, identifying member needs, and advising.
  • Licensed to sell mutual funds or the willingness to be licensed within 12 months.
  • Previous experience working in a professional sales environment.
  • Proven financial acumen and knowledge of financial products, services, and retail lending.
  • Demonstrated ability to confidently provide advice in a variety of member situations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented and organized with the ability to manage priorities.
  • Proficient with technology and systems.
