Job Summary
Procon Mining & Tunnelling Ltd. is a leading mine development contractor in North America, specializing in underground mine development, contract mining, and civil tunneling. We are seeking a motivated and experienced Underground Haul Truck Operator to join our team.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate heavy equipment, including haul trucks, in a safe and efficient manner.
- Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections to ensure equipment is in good working condition.
- Monitor vehicle performance, fluid levels, and mechanical fitness of machinery.
- Perform labor tasks as required, including loading and unloading materials.
- Work independently and as part of a team to achieve project goals.
Requirements
- 1-2 years of experience as a truck driver, preferably in underground mining.
- Underground mining experience.
- Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs. repetitively and on a regular basis.
- Dependable and able to commit to a 2 week on/2 week off rotation.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Positive attitude and enthusiasm for working in a fast-paced environment.
- Valid driver's license.
Preferred Qualifications
- Residency in the Northwest Territories.
- Experience working in a remote camp environment.
