Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Underground Haul Truck Operator to join our team at our project in Yellowknife, Northwest Territories. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating heavy equipment safely and efficiently, ensuring the smooth operation of our mining operations.

Responsibilities

  • Operate heavy equipment, including haul trucks, in a safe and efficient manner
  • Perform pre- and post-trip inspections to ensure equipment is in good working condition
  • Monitor vehicle performance, fluid levels, and mechanical fitness of machinery
  • Perform labor tasks as required
  • Work independently and as part of a team to achieve project goals

Requirements

  • 1-2 years of experience as a Truck Driver (Haul Truck experience preferred)
  • Underground mining experience
  • Must be physically capable of lifting and carrying 50 lbs. repetitively and on a regular basis
  • Dependable and able to commit to a 2 week on / 2 week off rotation (day shift and night shift)
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Positive attitude and enjoys being a proactive member of a high-performing team
  • Valid Driver's License

Applicants must meet all legislated requirements for air travel to work at the remote site camp. You will be required to work both day shift and night shift as part of the rotational schedule 14 days on site, 14 days off site. For this safety-sensitive position, you will be required to undergo a background check and be required to undergo substance and pre-employment testing.
