About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and innovative Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) Manager to join our team at Amazon Canada Fulfillment Services, ULC. As a key member of our Operations Team, you will play a critical role in ensuring a safe and healthy working environment for our associates.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with Operations Team to execute company WHS policies and ensure compliance to all applicable local, regional and federal regulations.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to reduce conditional and ergonomic risk in our processes.
  • Develop and implement department goals and strategies to drive accountability for WHS performance.
  • Provide guidance and oversight to ensure compliance to all applicable Amazon WHS Policies.
  • Establish high quality relationships with site and regional leadership to drive WHS initiatives.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or 2+ years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience.
  • 5+ years of increasing responsibilities in EHS and/or environmental programs in manufacturing, production, or service operations.
  • 5+ years of increasing responsibilities in people and performance management.
  • Experience implementing lean principles and process improvement in an operational environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Distribution Center or Manufacturing EHS experience with mix of exempt and non-exempt employees at a site of at least 250 people.
  • Master's degree.
  • Experience implementing lean principles and process improvement in an operational environment.
  • Experience in a fast paced, dynamic organization.
  • Certified Safety Professional.
