Key Responsibilities- Leadership and Management: Lead a team of Operations and Area Managers, providing guidance, coaching, and mentoring to ensure performance objectives are met.
- Operational Excellence: Drive the creation of quality initiatives, process change initiatives, and Lean initiatives to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness.
- Safety and Quality: Ensure the overall safety, quality, and performance of Inbound and Outbound operations, meeting and exceeding business plan expectations.
- Performance Management: Set and clarify requirements and expectations for Operations and Area Managers, measuring performance, providing feedback, and holding them accountable for their performance and departmental results.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with support staff, including HR, Finance, Facilities, Safety, IT, and other Senior Operations Managers, to build and secure support and resources for projects and initiatives.
- Physical Demands: Ability to lift and move totes up to 49 pounds, regular bending, lifting, stretching, and reaching, walking in the facility, and standing for extended periods.
- Work Environment: Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with changing priorities and stressful situations.
- Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent: 2+ years of Amazon experience or a Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
- Management Experience: 7+ years of direct management experience, including a salaried workforce, in a manufacturing, production, or distribution environment.
- Leadership Skills: Prior experience with performance metrics, process improvement, and Lean techniques, as well as the full staffing lifecycle, including interviewing, hiring, performance management, promotions, and termination.
