Accounting Specialist

At Silverton General Store, we are seeking a highly skilled Accounting Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
Key Responsibilities:- Calculate and prepare cheques for payroll
- Calculate fixed assets and depreciation
- Keep financial records and establish, maintain and balance various accounts using manual and computerized bookkeeping systems
- Maintain general ledgers and financial statements
- Post journal entries
- Prepare other statistical, financial and accounting reports
- Prepare trial balance of books
- Reconcile accounts
- Prepare, present and manage budgets
Requirements:
- 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping
- Permanent employment
- English language proficiency
- Ability to work independently and accurately
- Organized and detail-oriented
