Job Title: Bookkeeping Specialist

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Bookkeeping Specialist to join our team at Silverton General Store. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial statements, and performing various accounting tasks.

Responsibilities:

  • Calculate and prepare cheques for payroll
  • Calculate fixed assets and depreciation
  • Keep financial records and establish, maintain and balance various accounts using manual and computerized bookkeeping systems
  • Maintain general ledgers and financial statements
  • Post journal entries
  • Prepare other statistical, financial and accounting reports
  • Prepare trial balance of books
  • Reconcile accounts
  • Prepare, present and manage budgets

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years
  • Ability to work independently
  • Attention to detail
  • Accurate
  • Client focus
  • Organized

Work Setting: The successful candidate will be working in a rural area.

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: The successful candidate will be required to work independently and have strong attention to detail.

Personal Suitability: The successful candidate will be required to be accurate, client-focused, and organized.

Work Term: Permanent

Work Language: English

Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week
