Job Title: Bookkeeping Professional

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Bookkeeping Professional to join our team at Silverton General Store. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree and 2 years of experience in bookkeeping, with a strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Calculate and prepare cheques for payroll
  • Calculate fixed assets and depreciation
  • Keep financial records and establish, maintain and balance various accounts using manual and computerized bookkeeping systems
  • Maintain general ledgers and financial statements
  • Post journal entries
  • Prepare other statistical, financial and accounting reports
  • Prepare trial balance of books
  • Reconcile accounts
  • Prepare, present and manage budgets

Work Environment: Our store is located in a rural area, and the ideal candidate will be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
