Golf Course Maintenance Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Golf Course Maintenance Worker to join our team at Copetown Woods Golf Club Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the golf course grounds, including weeding, pruning, and trimming trees and plants, cutting grass, and operating and maintaining landscape maintenance equipment.

Work Environment

The work environment will be outdoors, with exposure to confined spaces, wet/damp conditions, noise, odours, dust, and heat.

Work Setting

The work setting will be on a golf course in a rural area, with a focus on landscape maintenance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Weed, prune, and trim trees and plants
  • Cut grass
  • Rake and collect refuse
  • Remove litter and garbage
  • Cart and spread topsoil and other materials
  • Lay sod or seed
  • Plant bulbs, flowers, shrubs, and trees
  • Apply fertilizers
  • Water and tend to plants, lawns, and/or gardens
  • Operate and maintain landscape maintenance equipment
Requirements
  • Experience in landscape maintenance or a related field
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
  • Physical stamina to handle heavy loads and work in a physically demanding environment
  • Manual dexterity and attention to detail
  • Ability to distinguish between colours
  • Flexibility to work in a combination of sitting, standing, and walking
