Our team at Nova Scotia Health Authority is seeking an Occupational Therapist to join our healthcare team. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will work closely with patients, families, and caregivers to provide expert care in occupational therapy.

About the Opportunity

The successful candidate will work under the supervision of the Manager and will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating treatment programs to promote optimal patient outcomes. This will involve working collaboratively with clients, caregivers, and family members to establish individualized treatment plans and goals.

The Occupational Therapist will have the opportunity to work independently and as part of a team, using their expertise to prioritize issues and manage a busy caseload. Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills are essential for this role, as the successful candidate will be required to provide education and support to clients, families, and caregivers.

About You
  • You hold a Bachelor of Science or equivalent in Occupational Therapy and are licensed with the provincial regulatory body, the College of Occupational Therapists of Nova Scotia.
  • You possess excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to facilitate education programs and interact positively with patients/clients, families, other health care providers, and staff.
  • You are committed to promoting a culture of respect that supports safety, ethical practices, cultural awareness, and organizational health.
Compensation and Incentives

We offer a competitive salary range of $33.96 - $42.90 hourly, plus a benefits package that includes health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage, as well as a defined benefit pension plan.

Hours

This is a permanent, part-time (50%) position, requiring 37.5 hours bi-weekly.
