About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical/Plumbing Design Technologist to join our Richmond office. As a key member of our design team, you will play a crucial role in supporting our HVAC and Plumbing system design for industrial, commercial, and residential projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and draft HVAC and Plumbing systems using AutoCAD
  • Maintain and record design files, ensuring accuracy and efficiency
  • Perform heating and cooling load calculations to ensure optimal system performance
  • Review and process shop drawings to ensure compliance with industry standards
  • Prepare technical reports and specifications as required, showcasing your expertise
  • Support team members with site visits, providing valuable insights and expertise

What We're Looking For

  • College/technology diploma in Mechanical Engineering, specifically related to HVAC, or Plumbing
  • 5+ years of industry experience, with a strong background in building services drafting
  • Proficient operating knowledge of AutoCAD, with experience in HVAC and Plumbing design
  • Knowledge of energy modeling in IES or Trane Trace is a plus
  • A working knowledge of the BC building and plumbing code is essential
  • Operating knowledge of Revit is an asset, but not required
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite Products, with excellent communication skills
  • A valid driver's license and vehicle are required for site visits
