About the Role

Pinchin is seeking a highly skilled Senior Design Technologist to join our Richmond office. As a key member of our design team, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional results for our clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop HVAC and plumbing systems for industrial, commercial, and residential projects
  • Maintain and record AutoCAD design files, ensuring accuracy and efficiency
  • Perform heating and cooling load calculations to ensure optimal system performance
  • Review and process shop drawings to ensure compliance with industry standards
  • Prepare technical reports and specifications as required, showcasing your expertise and attention to detail
  • Support team members with site visits, fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing

Requirements

  • College/technology diploma in Mechanical Engineering, specifically related to HVAC, or Plumbing
  • 5+ years of industry experience, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality results
  • Proficient operating knowledge of AutoCAD, as well as specific building services drafting experience in HVAC and plumbing
  • Knowledge of energy modeling in IES or Trane Trace is a plus
  • A working knowledge of the BC building and plumbing code is essential
  • Operating knowledge of Revit is an asset
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite Products
  • Able to work well in a team environment, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
