Job Description

Aramark is seeking a skilled Chef Manager to lead our culinary team in Clarington, ON. This role will oversee the preparation and service of meals for approximately 100 employees during weekdays.

We're looking for a Chef Manager who can deliver exceptional customer service and food experiences. This individual will also play a key role in meeting budget requirements and executing company programs.

Job Responsibilities


Develop and standardize recipes to ensure consistent quality

Prepare and serve made-to-order dishes from the menu selection

Establish presentation techniques and quality standards, and plan and price menus

Estimate food consumption, conduct inventories, ordering, receiving; manage costs and budgets

Ensure proper equipment operation/maintenance and proper safety and sanitation in the kitchen

Provide exceptional customer service to patrons

Hire and train hourly staff members to assist in food service and opening/closing duties

Qualifications


Requires a minimum of 2 years' experience in a sous-chef or similar role

Post-secondary culinary degree or diploma is preferred

Previous management experience is preferred

Ability to prepare a variety of culinary dishes using PRIMA recipe database

Some business acumen to manage budgets and P&L concepts

Solid interpersonal and customer service skills to represent Aramark at the client site

Requires advanced knowledge of the principles and practices within the food profession

Requires computer skills and strong oral communication ability
