Job Summary

Aramark is seeking a skilled Chef Manager to lead our culinary team in Bowmanville, ON. This role will oversee the preparation and presentation of high-quality meals for approximately 100 patrons during weekdays.

We are looking for a seasoned professional who can deliver exceptional customer service, manage budgets, and execute company programs. Our ideal candidate will have a strong culinary background, excellent communication skills, and the ability to motivate and train a team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Select and develop recipes to ensure consistent quality and presentation
  • Prepare and serve made-to-order dishes from the menu selection
  • Establish and maintain high standards of kitchen safety and sanitation
  • Manage food costs, inventory, and ordering
  • Provide exceptional customer service and lead by example
  • Hire and train hourly staff members to assist with food service and opening/closing duties

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a sous-chef or similar role
  • Post-secondary culinary degree or diploma preferred
  • Previous management experience preferred
  • Ability to prepare a variety of culinary dishes using PRIMA recipe database
  • Strong business acumen and computer skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
