Job Opportunity

Aramark is seeking a skilled Chef Manager to lead our culinary service team at a large warehouse in Clarington, ON. This position will oversee the preparation and serving of meals for approximately 100 patrons during weekdays from Monday to Friday.

We are looking for a Chef Manager who can deliver exceptional customer service and food experiences while meeting budget requirements and executing company programs. Our ideal candidate will have a strong culinary background, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Select and develop recipes to ensure consistent quality
  • Prepare and serve made-to-order dishes from the menu selection
  • Establish presentation techniques and quality standards, and plan and price menus
  • Estimate food consumption, conduct inventories, ordering, receiving, and manage costs and budgets
  • Ensure proper equipment operation, maintenance, and safety and sanitation in the kitchen
  • Provide exceptional customer service to patrons
  • Hire and train hourly staff members to assist in food service and opening/closing duties
Qualifications

  • Requires a minimum of 2 years' experience in a sous-chef or similar role
  • Post-secondary culinary degree or diploma is preferred
  • Previous management experience is preferred
  • Ability to prepare a variety of culinary dishes using PRIMA recipe database
  • Some business acumen to manage budgets and P&L concepts
  • Solid interpersonal and customer service skills to represent Aramark at the client site
  • Requires advanced knowledge of the principles and practices within the food profession
  • Requires computer skills and strong oral communication ability
