About the Role

We're seeking a detail-oriented and analytical individual with a strong understanding of provincial legislation governing auto insurance. You'll be responsible for analyzing and interpreting insurance policy wording, communicating with customers and stakeholders, and resolving disputes in a fair and equitable manner.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle a high volume of Accident Benefit files, ensuring timely and respectful communication with customers and stakeholders
  • Analyze and interpret insurance policy wording to determine coverage and assess entitlements
  • Communicate effectively with customers, lawyers, and rehabilitation experts to resolve claims
  • Participate in the dispute process, attending hearings and negotiations as needed
  • Represent the company in negotiations and settlements at the License Appeal Tribunal
  • Complete regular reporting and liaise with Technical Services to ensure accurate action and reserving
  • Participate in Large Loss Meetings and coaching initiatives

Requirements

  • University degree or equivalent experience in a related field
  • At least 5+ years of Accident Benefit claims handling experience
  • Strong knowledge of provincial legislation governing auto insurance
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
