Job Title: Dean of Law Faculty Leadership Position

About the Role:
The University of Calgary is seeking a seasoned academic leader to fill the position of Dean, Faculty of Law. As a respected member of our community, you will provide visionary leadership and strategic direction for our faculty, fostering a culture of excellence in teaching, research, and service.

Key Responsibilities:
• Provide strategic direction for the faculty's academic programs, research initiatives, and service activities.
• Foster strong relationships with external partners, including government agencies, alumni, and industry stakeholders.
• Lead the development and implementation of the faculty's budget and resource allocation plans.
• Make key decisions on appointments, promotions, and tenure for faculty members.
• Collaborate with university administrators to advance the institution's goals and objectives.

Requirements:
• A doctoral degree in law or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Proven track record of academic leadership, preferably as a dean or associate dean.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders.
• Experience in budget planning, financial management, and fundraising.
• A strong reputation for integrity, transparency, and fairness.

What We Offer:
• An attractive salary range of $180,000 - $220,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
