Health and Safety Advisor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Health and Safety/Asset Protection Advisor to join our team at Federated Co-operatives Limited. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to ensure the safety and security of our employees, assets, and operations.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement comprehensive health and safety programs to minimize risks and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Conduct thorough investigations into incidents and near-misses to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
- Collaborate with senior leadership and department managers to ensure alignment with organizational objectives and goals.
- Provide training and guidance to team members on health and safety best practices and procedures.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and effectiveness across departments and locations.
- Post-secondary education in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field.
- Minimum 3-6 years of experience in health and safety or a related field.
- Valid Class 5 driver's license.
- Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP) or Certified Health and Safety Consultant (CHSC) designation an asset.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
