In this leadership role, you will be responsible for the strategic direction and leadership of the overall Asset Protection and Health and Safety strategy for Southland Co-op. This includes ensuring compliance with company policies, local, provincial, and federal laws, and overseeing the administration of the company Occupational Health & Safety program.

Key Objectives
  • Develop and implement effective Asset Protection and Health and Safety strategies to safeguard people, property, and the Co-op brand.
  • Collaborate with Senior Leadership Team and Department Managers to ensure clear communication and execution of objectives related to Loss Prevention and Health and Safety.
  • Provide support, guidance, and training to Team Leaders on all aspects of Asset Protection and Health and Safety.
  • Identify opportunities to create efficiencies across departments and synergies among departments, as well as consistency in standards, programs, guest service, brand strategy, and operational goals across locations.
Requirements

You will be successful in this role if you have:

  • A certificate in Occupational Health & Safety.
  • 3-6 years of relevant experience.
  • A valid Class 5 driver's license.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Honesty and trustworthiness, with a results-oriented approach and a commitment to excellence.
  • The ability to build relationships and collaborate to deliver solutions that matter most.
