Director of Women's Health and Sexual Assault Services

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Medical Director to lead our Sexual Assault Service at BC Women's Hospital and Health Centre. As a key member of our team, you will provide medical leadership and direction to our service, ensuring the highest quality of care for our patients.
Key Responsibilities- Provide medical leadership and direction to the Sexual Assault Service, ensuring the highest quality of care for patients.
- Develop and implement clinical standards and policies to ensure excellence in patient care.
- Cultivate alliances with other hospitals and community agencies to coordinate and provide provincial services through partnerships and networking.
- Lead continuous quality improvement initiatives for the department, monitoring operations and implementing changes as needed.
- Participate in teaching and research, developing clinical practice standards and serving as a resource for sexual assault examiners.
- Provide strong leadership for staff within the program, maintaining medical and ethical standards of practice.
- Work with the Medical Director to establish clinical, teaching, and research plans for programs within your portfolio, plan new initiatives, and provide guidance on emerging issues and opportunities.
- Medical Degree and eligibility for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia.
- Advanced training and/or experience in sexual assault services, women's health, and healthcare for vulnerable populations is an asset.
- Remain an active member of the on-call roster for the Sexual Assault Service.
- Eligibility for a faculty appointment with the University of British Columbia.
